Pumpkins is common vegetable in kitchen orange or yellow color vary greatly in shape, size and colour. Pumpkin is not only a vegetable. Pumpkin is also good source of Vitamins, essential fatty acids, minerals and fibers. Pumpkin is worldwide popular vegetable with good nutritious diet. Research suggests, it is good for Cancer, inflammation, kidney stones, depression, skin disorders, foreign infection etc. Pumpkin can be used in any form directly cooking, frying, making soup or as vegetable. Pumpkin is a storehouse of many anti-oxidant vitamins such as vitamin-A, vitamin-C and vitamin-E.

Vitamin A: Alpha and Beta Carotene antioxidant is converted into Vitamin A in our body. Beta Carotene is good anti inflammation and preventing skin from sunlight. Alpha Carotene is good against tumours and cataracts in eyes. Also Carotenoids helps in blood circulation and building bodily immune system strong.

Vitamin C: Vitamin C helps to balance the cholesterol level in our body. It reduces the free radicals and prevent from cancerous cells.

Magnesium: Pumpkin is rich source of magnesium in its covering and inner content. It is good for healthy teeth and bones also. Pumpkin helps to protect heart and circulatory system with Magnesium content.

Vitamin E : Vitamin E is an important antioxidant for healthy skin and also useful for Alzheimer disease. Vitamin E presents in seeds of  pumpkin is also cancer protective.

Fibers: Pumpkin is good source of fibers. Fibers helps in heart diseases, intestinal cancers protection, weight management, and improves digestive system.

Pantothenic Acid : Known as Vitamin B-5 is found in pumpkin helps in stress management and balancing hormones.

Potassium & Zinc : Inner content of pumpkin is rich in Potassium. Potassium balances the blood pressure and protects heart. Zinc builds strong immune system and reproductive system. Zinc also has anti microbial action.

The fruit is a good source of B-complex group of vitamins like folates, niacin, vitamin B-6 (pyridoxine), thiamin.
