Baking soda is recommended in UTI as it maintain PH level of urine by acid base reaction. i explained in the article for avoiding carbonated drinks like beer, soda.
There is another huge home remedy that you left out, D-mannose. D-mannose is the active ingredient in cranberry juice but cranberry juice doesn’t have enough to really help. A d-mannose supplement can stop 80-90% of all urinary tract infections, as long as it’s caused by e.coli (which is usually the cause of 80-90% of infections). I started taking it and I have never had a full blown infection since. As soon as I start feeling symptoms, I take it.
