Cracked heels are common problem of sign of lack of attention to foot care rather than just overexposure or lack of moisturizing. Medically, cracked heels are called heel fissures. Fissures are regular linear cut wounds and mostly affect the surface level which comprises of the epidermis. Cracked heels are harmful when it goes deep and become painful , bleeding. Appearances of dry cracked heels also indicate zinc and omega-3 fatty acid deficiency. Cracked heels are a common occurrence for senior citizens or people who are constantly on their feet thus exerting pressure on the feet pad. Dry skin on the heels is often a recurrent problem.
- You need to be hydrated properly by drinking lots of water to keep skin hydrate. It help s keep skin soft and skin will not dry.
- You need to clean the feet properly after you come from outside. Before sleeping also clean your feet.
- Wash the feet with soap and luke warm water and soak it. It helps loosen your dead skinof soles and heels.
- You may use the scrubber to scrub the dead skin and wash the dead skin away.
- Using pumic stone helpful to clearingthe dead dull skin.
- Wipe your feet massage cream also can apply petroleum jelly or daily body lotion on feet.
- Have your nail cut well shaped.
- If your cracked heels are really bad and giving you pain then try this remedy to heal them. Melt paraffin wax and mix it with a little coconut oil. Fill this mixture into your cracked heels while going to bed. Wash it off in the morning. Filling this wax in your cracks for at least 10 days will fill the gap a lot and pain will be very less.
- To avoid foot pain wear shoes, which are right, size for your feet.
- You can spray foot spray or powder in your shoes while putting your feet in.
- Wear shoes in wet legs and never wear wet soaks.
- Rubbing onion oil on the skin rashes and itches is useful.
- To avoid the cracks of your heels keep scrubbing the dead hard skin regularly and keep applying moisturizers or petroleum jelly to your feet, which will prevent your heels from getting cracks.
- If there is pain in your feet then soak them in hot water with salt added to it and alter the feet in cold water. Do it regularly half an hour helps in circulation.
- Massage the feet and put pressure on the points.
- Walk on the grass barefoot early morning. It rejuvenates the feet and improves the eyesight.
- Wear the shoes you are comfortable in. avoid wearing tight shoes and high heels if there is pain in your feet.

Using a petro product on the skin, our largest organ that digests whatever we place on it, is not a desirable impact we are looking for. Oil products on the skin is certainly something that many people have been doing for years, but it is time to re-educate and find organic sustainable options.
I want to add one more remedy for this, Usually Cracked Heal is also result of Doshik imbalance, sometimes Vata or Pitta, so local application of Castor oil or Til (sesame) oil is good. Leave for 15min and wash, daily twice. Combine with internal medication will enhance the recovery rate to a greater extent.
