yoga for gastritisGastritis is the inflammation especially mucosal layer of stomach. The parasympathetic system stimulates the acid producing oxycintic cell while the sympathetic system narrow downs the blood vessel in the liniging of the stomach. When a person is suffered, the immune systems, white blood corpuscle both are incompetent till the germ but instead it gives up. In our Ayurvedic treatment system there are many types of Yogas, Asanas, Pranayamas, which is very efficient to get rid of from the gastritis as much as possible. By the help of this type of practices reduce the occurrence of gastritis, reduce stress, healing of ulcer and improving glandular function of our body. One he or she should be strictly prohibited for consumption of spicy food cold drinks, alcohol, street food, stale food and discourage smoking too. To become a healthy person first of all maintain the balance diet along with the ample of fruits and vegetables.

There is different way of doing Yogas, Asanas, papayas to improve proper digestive system, inversion to the store hormone balance and passive backbend, calm the nervous system and increase circulation in the abdomen.

By twisting– It is the easiest way to maintain an aligned and opens spine in supine posture. There are many variation of lying twist; one or more knees bent at a time, legs may remain straight of even bound. So this helps to cleanse and massage the stomach, releasing excess toxin, acidity, bile and gas in digestive system. It also helps in increasing blood flow and provides the healing energy to the organ.

By inversion– It is also a wonderful method for restoring the hormonal balance in our body. It has calming effect on mind and relief anxiety and stress. Various problems occur like high blood pressure, physical injuries of head and spine or menstruation due to hormonal balance. For this headstand (Shirasan) and Ardha Halasana/Sukha Hal asana plays a vital role to reduce the hormonal imbalance and reduce the occurrence of gastritis.

By passive back bend – It is also one of the best ways to get rid from gastritis. It is performed on a full or empty stomach. It stretches and soothing the vagus nerves which increases the peristaltic movement in stomach decrease acid production and enhance the blood supply to digestive organ. For this stupa virasana (Reclined hero’s pose). It is performed with back bend along with bent legs. It may be sitting or between the heel and the pose may be done by lying on the floor. It relaxes the ribs cage and moment of diaphragm takes place whereas lungs exaggerated. If he or she put his/her hand over the  sternum in Anjali mudra which help to stimulate the thyroid gland to strengthen the body immune system.

Setu Bandha Sarvangasana: It is also known as a Bridge Pose in shoulder stand. It has also similar effect as Stupa Virasana but without excessive pressure on the joint , it added benefit of a gentle inversion. Use chair or prop of certain height and length such that shoulder and back of the head rest comfortably on the floor and torso rest on chair or prop from top thoracic spine to the sacrum. Take a deep breath fully from belly to collar bone and spent five minutes or more on this pose as long as it is comfortable.

There is much Yoga and Asans related for gastritis. Among them most beneficial Yogas and Asanas are enlisted and described below.

Pranayama – It is the science of breath control which helps to keep our body healthy, control Prana or vital life energy by bringing more oxygen to blood and brain.

Some Asanas are:-

1. Cobra poses (Bhujanga asan) – It strengthens the spine, stretch the chest, shoulder, abdomen, firm the buttock and relieve stress and fatigue.

2. Uttanpada asana – This is the perfect asana for people suffering from Gastritis, indigestion, constipation, disorder of pancreas intestinal problems and reduce the fat formation in the stomach.

3. Pavanmukta asana – It is also equally effective as uttanpada asana, in which it strengthen digestive system. Lower back muscle, eases of spinal vertebra and massage pelvic muscle and reproductive organs.

4. Shalabha asana – It is very effective in curing Gastritis and improving digestion. It also strengthen muscle of lower back, increases flexibility of back and especially recommended for sciatica and pain in lower back.

5. Vajra asana – It also strengthens thigh muscles and relieving gas from the stomach

And some other asanas are –

Bhadrasana or yoga heroes pose

Neuli Asana (Abdominal posture) and Matsyandra asana

Conclusion – In Ayurveda there are many types Yogas, Asanas, Pranayama which will create a prosperous living in our life, if we follow them in a right way. In front of this types of Yogas and so on even who follow the allopathic medicine also attracted towards it now days because it has no any side effect as allopathic medicine does. So in Gastritis Yoga, Asana and Pranayama plays a vital role which we cannot forget. So, we should create such a free campaign like free health check up and medicine distribution program, free seminar, public awareness programe and so on which will motivate from the grassroots people to the higher level people in the field of Ayurveda. So for that we all of us joined our hand together and our government should implement right rules and regulation strictly in the field of Ayurveda. Then only we can boost up economy of the country as well as the whole world through which we can introduce our Ayurveda field among the world, which is our ultimate goal.

    i am suffering from Tail bone injury from jan-2011 to till date , and uric acid level increasing …… and now iam getting more back pain and tail bone pain and body pain , no proper sleep.

    pl give some yoga to do details for me
