Dhanwantharam Thailam

Thailam (Thaila) is Ayurvedic massage oil. There are hundreds of different types of thailam used for different purposes. Application of thaila by means of massage is equivalent to injecting medicines to the body. The massage helps the blood to absorb most of the content of the thaila directly to the blood and cure the areas of injury.

Dhanwantari Thailam is most popular general massage oil. Named for the patron deity of Ayurveda, it is a fragrant, earthy oil containing 28 herbs. Dhanwantharam is good for all body types, especially Vata and Pitta. Featuring a potent anti-oxidant effect, it rejuvenates the body and skin and increases immunity. Beneficial for neurological and rheumatic diseases, as well as chronic Vata conditions and pre- and post-natal care. It is also a fine Shirodhara and head oil.

Ingredients:

Cow milk, Black sesame oil, Wild mallow, Barley, Indian jujube, Madras gram, Ashwagandha, Spanish woodbine, Wild asparagus, Indian madder, Snapdragon tree, Bael tree, Pink jacaranda, Indian trumpet flower, Headache tree, Desmodium, Pseudarthria, Aerva, Solanum, Puncturevine, Himalayan cedar, Indian sarsaparilla, Rock salt, Fenugreek, Stone flower, Sweet flag, Licorice, Indian gooseberry, Chebulic myrobalan, Beleric myrobalan, Myrrh, Indian dill, Golden gram, Vigna, Cardamom, Cinnamon.
Indication:

  • A highly efficacious preparation used in Rheumatic diseases, Fracture Sprain, Contusions, Emaciation, Mental disorders, Hydrocele, Hernia, Vaginal disorders, Menstrual irregularitis Urinogenital disorders. Recommended in Antenatal as well as Post- natal care.
  • For all types of Vata diseases, Soothika, baala ( Children) , Injuries in Marma ( Vital parts), Asti bhanga (Fracture)or such Abhighaataja rogas. Also in the cases of Ksheena(Weakness) ,Jwara( Fever), Gulmam, Graham ( Planet) ,Unmaada (Psychic disorders), Mutraaghaatam , Antravrudhi ( Tumour), Yoni rogam.

 Dosage:

For external application all over body. Both head and body.

Recommended use: Apply lightly heated oil on entire body or affected part.

  • I am using Bhandari oil for my knee ligament pull.kindly let me know how to use this oil.presently I am massaging this oil on my knee keeping it for 2 hrs and then having warm water bath.is this procedure right.kindly do reply.thank you…..
