Ashwagandha Oil

Ingredients : Ashwagandha decoction and sesame oil Asvagandha, Hrivaram, Madhuka (yasti), Sariva (sveta sariva), Padma – kesara (kamala), Meda, Punarnava (rakta punarnava), Draksa, Manjistha, Brhati, Kantakari, Ela, Elavalu (elavaluka), Haritaki, Bibhitaka, Amalaki, Musta (musta), Candana (sveta candana), Padmaka

(Ayurveda therapy)

Dosage : Apply twice per day

Uses For strengthening the muscle tissue in weakness, wasting, excess sporting activity, impotence.Specific for vata disorders.

Ashwagandha oil is excellent for reducing Vata disorders such as nerve or muscle pain, poor circulation, debility and anxiety. It is ideal as a massage oil for Vata constitutions or for anyone wanting to balance Vata aggravation. It is also extremely nourishing and restores the skin’s natural suppleness and elasticity and is excellent for dry or dehydrated skin and prevention of wrinkles.
Used as an anti-inflammatory it helps alleviate swelling associated with intense physical training, commonly experienced by athletes and dancers. It is also beneficial as a preventative measure against strains promoting the strength and flexibility of the muscles and protecting the joints.

Applying Ashwagandha oil locally to joints and muscles is a good treatment and preventative measure for dancers, athletes, massage practitioners, osteopaths, tradesmen, etc. Anyone who is involved predominantly physical and repetitive activities can benefit from applying this oil to areas which have become weakened by the nature of their work and to prevent further accumulative damage.

Ashwagandha Oil contains high levels of minerals, including calcium and magnesium renowned for soothing the nervous system.
